Lemon Drop in Anderson

Old school burgers, huge plates of made to order fries in a small diner that takes you back to the good old days. Great atmosphere and fast service.

This place has great fries and great customer service! I would for sure order here again!

Food is good, but seems kinda pricey for what it is

The lemon drop restaurant , is it Anderson Institution. What a great place to eat! I love their fries, and their signature onion burger this to-die-for. You will not be disappointed they spend lunch or dinner there.

It was so neat to find and dine at this Anderson Indiana institution! I had the double onion burger with cheese. It was delicious, but quite greasy. The fries could have been cooked a little longer and the onion rings a little shorter. Our server was friendly and attentive. And the inside is tiny, but retro. I'm glad it is there, give it a try!

Glade to see you open. I want to give a shout out to you because when I was in there I was impressed by the way you are trying to protect your customers and workers. I just want to say thanks. I’m sure like me you are unsure about inside sitting in a restaurant but the lemon drop food is just as good sitting at home in front of your TV. So get it to go. Again Thank You.

You can't do better for a fun, tasty blast from the past than The Lemon Drop! The food is terrific, and the staff is wonderful. It's one of our favorite places.

Delicious greasy spoon that has been here for many decades. Onion burgers and lemon milkshakes are the signature items. Yummy food and great service! Between the trains and the bar stools, this is excellent place to bring kids.

Delicious! The dining area is small, but the wait is worth it. The food is tasty and comes out quick. Definitely a must try in Anderson.

The onion Butter burger was amazing!! And the fries too! Cute old time diner atmosphere with celeb pictures posted near seating of when they too had dined there.

Road side diner from a bygone time and quality you just don't see anymore. Don't think there was a single menu item above 10$. The lemon milkshake is a must try but any of them were phenomenal. The grilled double tenderloin sandwich was prepared to perfection. Tender inside with the perfect grilled crisp outside. Everything super fresh. Can't wait to stop in again.

Was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Got a chicken sandwich and it was a process chicken breast. Was hoping this local ma and pa shop would have better than overly processed meat. Also with a name like the Lemon Drop I tried their lemonade thinking it was going to be real fresh lemonade, nothing more than Crystal Light or simular type drink. Service was good and they were very welcoming. If fast food quality is your thing this place is fine, otherwise I would look elsewhere.

The Lemon Drop is one of my favorite places! I've been coming here for a burger or chicken sandwich with fries since I was little with my grandparents and parents. Must visit every time I'm in Anderson. Sometimes you’ll have to wait, there only three booths and about fifteen stools, but it’s totally worth the wait!

Best greasy spoon diner in the area.

This place is just awesome! It's been the same for 50 years- great food so you'd better get there early. Breaded tenderloin sandwiches, onion burgers, fries, cherry coke, vanilla Coke and so much more. The waitresses are just the best. Little electric train runs around the ceiling. It's a tiny but powerful little restaurant!

Best Homemade Hamburger joint around!!Waitress doesn't carry a pad and even though I and my brother both changed our orders before finishing, everything came out perfect! We both got onion burgers, with the grilled onions tucked INSIDE the patty.The fried buns and onion rings were too hot to handle. The toppings actually covered the whole burger. BIG THUMBS UP!!

Friendly comfort food .. Tiny diner with very friendly staff & good food. I had a double cheeseburger(thin patties so double a must) with onion rings and an unsweet tea. Loved the food .. prefer the toast instead of bun. Tea was good and that's getting rare seems to be bitter or weak other places. Staff kept drinks filled and made it a very nice experience. Place needs updated but clean. Note if you have kids maybe take your own lemon drop candy.. Open basket by register and didn't want to let my kid get candy from it.

This is an old-fashioned burger dive. Some of these places serve excellent burgers, and some should be condemned. My burger was well-seared, and composed of average quality hamburger. Okay, but nothing worth a trip.

An absolutely amazing establishment. One of my favorite places to go here in Anderson. The fries here are Heavenly. Definitely a place to go back to over and over! Nice service, fast times, all perfect!

One of my favorite places to eat. Even if it is just takeout! The sandwiches, meals and fries are to die for! Especially those fries. Best I've had ever! Would recommend to friends!

We stopped at the Lemon Drop in the middle of an 8-hour drive. We had burgers (including the double onion), chili, and topped everything off with a couple of shakes. The food was great, the prices were unbeatable, & the service was outstanding. It was a gray day outside, but our server's smile lit up everything.

It is one of the few original 50's diners that exist today! It stood the test of time because of it's excellent food, service, and speed. It may be small, but it packs quite a punch! The tenderloins are especially good. The price is right, making this place a must go!

Sigh...the lemon shake is NOT to be missed!

I am sad to say that this restaurant had disappointed me today. The hamburger comes on toast which is ok but i had to squint to find the meat! The onio. Rings were overcooked and quite hard to chew and the lemonade wasn't anything to write home about.

This place is hands down one of the best hamburger joints so so so so jooooood
